The commercial successes, recorded in recent years in increasingly large market areas, have considerably influenced production levels and overall company developments: in June 2002 the new factory of over 1,200 square meters was opened and equipped with ample parking. Strategically located in the Valle del Noce (Contrada Ronzino), along the major roads and logistic nodes of the South, it conveys more than 3,000 packages of the most tasty bakery products, which characterize the range of the company offer, to distribution every day.

Company history

imageOriginally, the oven of Luigina "a viscuttara" prepared only the "Biscotti a otto", the typical Lucanian taralli that are also called, according to the areas, "scalette" or in dialect "viscuott", the ones that today in the catalog are the traditional taralli in two versions, large or small.

Another historical product are the frese, baked bread donuts, cut in half and finally toasted in a warm oven. Traditionally, only the classic homemade fresa (with the addition of wholemeal flour) was produced in the typical donut format.

In 1968 Domenica Caucci, daughter of the progenitor Luigina “a viscuttara”, decided to obtain the license for the production and marketing of bakery products. From this moment the Biscottificio Caucci assumes the character of a company carried on with resourcefulness, ability and great willpower.

Since 2009, Biscottificio Caucci has been a company run by the children of Domenica Caucci, thus continuing the family character of the company which guarantees passion, care and love for a story that has been handed down for three generations.

In its development path, the Biscottificio Caucci has considerably enriched the number and variety of products offered to its customers, addressing both the national and international markets with productions always of the best Italian artisan tradition.

Our Products

A wide and rich range of products, made more and more delicious with the addition of natural spices that change taralli e tarallucci in perfect snacks to taste with sausages, ham, cheese, and to serve with excellent wine.

The frese, ring-shaped breads, cut in half and baked a second time in a tepid oven, can be perfectly and simply spiced with fresh tomatoes, rughetta (rocket) and olive oil: a delicious meal, which completely reflects the Mediterranean diet.
Besides the wide range of savoury products, delicious Panettoni, Pandoro and Colombe, traditional Italian naturally leavened oven baked cake . Biscuits are also available, ideal for a genuine and energy-giving breakfast so as to make sweeter the afternoon tea-time.
